"You never dream that any of your players will make it to the pinnacle of their career," Singletary said in an interview with 7News Sports. "But I'm just so excited for him, obviously his teammates and his family, and obviously Quaker Nation over here at Sidwell is beaming with pride."

"The management did a great job of putting the pieces together at that level to make it work," Singletary explained. "I think Josh is one of those centerpieces on the board that is selfless. He's a servant leader, he wants to serve his teammates and he does that with just giving relentless effort. He probably has one of the best motors in the world."

"I think that's the hallmark of being a coach," Singletary reflected. "Being able to speak life into young players, especially in high school. So, just to see the manifestation of all his hard work; and then the mental work that you put in as a coach sometimes -- not just the x's and o's -- just the time you spend with these young men and their families, I think this is the culmination of that."
